Andy Martin says that New Hampshire GOP leader Jennifer Horn is trying to muzzle presidential candidates

Andy Martin, the man who spearheaded the media tactics that defeated Massachusetts interloper Scott Brown in the 2014 U. S. Senate election, says GOP state chair Jennifer Horn is trying to muzzle 2016 presidential candidates and infantilize the presidential primary. Andy, an independent New Hampshire Republican Party leader, says Horn’s tactics failed in 2014 and will fail again in 2016. “Criticizing the record and qualifications of your opponent is a time-honored American campaign practice,” Andy says. “Jennifer Horn tries to protect her own financial interests by pretending she is presiding at a political kindergarten where candidates can only say ‘nice things’ and cannot say ‘bad things’ about other contenders. That is not the way politics works. In 2014, Horn tried to stifle criticism of interloper Scott Brown. By seeking to discourage criticism, Horn forced Brown’s opponents to go ‘underground’ and Brown lost the conservative base in the general election. Now Horn is trying to protect Jeb Bush by stifling campaign criticism in 2016.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Andy Martin says Ted Cruz and Fergus Cullen should be free to speak their mind without censorship or intimidation from Jennifer Horn

Andy says Horn has done more to undermine the New Hampshire GOP than anyone else in the Granite State

Andy says Horn should disclose her unpaid taxes and arrangements with Barack Obama’s IRS

Andy is laying down a marker that he will be a tough player in the 2016 New Hampshire presidential primary; stay tuned

(Manchester, NH) (March 17, 2015) Let me begin by stating some basics: [1] I do not know Senator Ted Cruz and I am not a supporter. I am not supporting any presidential candidate at this time.

[2] I do not know Fergus Cullen. I suspect Cullen doesn’t like me any more than he likes Ted Cruz, but I unhesitatingly defend Cullen's right to free speech, to criticize candidates and to engage in “biting” speech.

[3] Jennifer Horn and I are not friends. She has done everything she can to harass me, and I am committed to seeing her removed. I believe that because of her IRS tax liens Horn is really a Trojan Horse for the Obama administration, and a traitor to the state GOP.

[4] I believe the New Hampshire GOP State Committee has shown egregious bad judgment by allowing Horn to continue as a party leader when Horn owes back taxes to the IRS. What kind of a message does that send to voters?

Horn diverted her income taxes from payments to the IRS to her own failed political campaigns. I suspect she is paying off the IRS on an installment plan but no one knows what she owes. Horn refuses to be transparent about her obvious conflict of interest with Barack Obama’s IRS.

[5] I am committed to the defeat of Jeb Bush in the presidential campaign. We will stop Jebbie cold.

Last week Fergus Cullen said some nasty things about Senator Ted Cruz (see link #1 below). Cullen had every right to say what he did abut Cruz. Candidate criticism is an honorable part of our political history.

Decades ago, Ronald Reagan concocted his “Eleventh Commandment” to silence his own critics. Unfortunately, Reagan worshippers have extended the late president’s “commandment” into a straightjacket in a way that was never intended to silence campaign criticism or confrontation. Time after time, election after election, Republicans stand mute as primary candidates campaign without any meaningful examination of their records, and without any meaningful intra-party criticism. Then the Democratic Party’s dirt diggers and mudslingers attack the unsuspecting Republicans in the fall election.

The biggest victim of this internal silencing was Mitt Romney, who was surprised in 2012 when Democrats came after him hammer and tong. Romney had never faced serious confrontation in the primaries, although Newt Gingrich tried to lay out some of the anti-Romney case.

In 2014 Jennifer Horn imported Massachusetts candidate Scott Brown. Horn was trying to promote her own financial interests, which I will discuss in an upcoming column. Horn tried to silence other candidates from criticizing Brown and she tried to disrupt my senate campaign by silencing me. But I took the truth to the media. I was committed to defeating Brown and, as I promised in response to Horn’s dirty tricks, if she stabbed me in the primary in return I would stab Brown in the general election. She did and I did.

Horn is the most ignorant and corrupt GOP state party leader in the United States. Her new claim that “all Republicans would be best focused on promoting their favorite candidates rather than attacking others” (see link #2 below) is an attempt to promote her financial franchise and to muzzle intra-party criticism.

But the current “New Hampshire system” does not produce viable opponents to confront the Democratic Party’s standard bearers. In 2014 Horn could not produce a viable gubernatorial candidate, and she abandoned one congressional candidate to promote Scott Brown’s money machine. Then, after the election, Horn had the gall to take credit for state legislative victories, where her minions had played no meaningful role. Horn did more to defeat Republican candidates in 2014 than to elect them. If Horn had encouraged an open and honest primary Brown would probably be a senator today. Because she fixed and rigged the primary, all of Brown’s opponents to some extent worked against him.

Now Horn is trying to repeat her dirty tricks by rigging the presidential primary in favor of Jeb Bush, because Jeb Bush has the most cash to pass around to New Hampshire’s outstretched and open palms. Instead of defending Cullen’s right to free speech, she was and is trying to tamp down criticism, which will mostly be of Bush.

I go back a long way in presidential primaries. I remember the 1988 New Hampshire primary, when Senator Bob Dole accused George H. W. Bush of “lying about [Dole’s] record.” I observed George W. Bush’s dirty tricks from the inside in 2000. If Jeb Bush doesn’t want to criticize his opponents, that his is privilege. But if Cullen, or others, want to rip a candidate or candidates, that is their constitutional right. They should not be muzzled by Jennifer Horn.

As for myself, I have every intention of criticizing Jeb Bush because both he and his family have been a disaster for the American people. Two unnecessary Bush Middle East wars are enough. Jeb is manifestly unsuited to lead our nation.

So, Ted Cruz, feel free to “tell it like it is.” And Mr. Cullen, have it at. I may not agree with either of you but I will defend your right to free speech. Live Free or Die.

U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin defends Jeanne Shaheen against false accusations of anti-Semitism

Republican U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin will hold a news conference today, Wednesday, August 27th to condemn Scott Brown and Jennifer Horn, as well as the New Hampshire Republican Party, for falsely accusing Jeanne Shaheen of anti-Semitism. Andy demands that Brown take his bogus “anti-Semite” attacks on Shaheen off the air. “The behavior of the New Hampshire Republican Party is a disgrace to Granite State Republicans as well as an embarrassment to Republicans nationally,” Andy says. “Brown should remove his web ad accusing Shaheen of taking ‘anti-Semitic campaign contributions.’ Brown has brought politics in this state to a new low. We need a house-cleaning of the New Hampshire GOP leadership. Ordinary Republicans are great; the leadership is incompetent and despicable. Scott Brown has only exacerbated the decline of the party.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

ANNOUNCEMENT OF MANCHESTER, NH NEWS CONFERENCE

ATTENTION NATIONAL, POLITICAL, NEW HAMPSHIRE DAYBOOK & ASSIGNMENT EDITORS

Republican U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin condemns Jennifer Horn and Scott Brown for “despicable behavior” in accusing Jeanne Shaheen of de facto anti-Semitism

Andy says Brown and Horn are disgracing the Republican Party locally and nationally

Andy says he is extremely reluctant to defend Shaheen but his sense of “public integrity” compels him to do so

Andy suggests Horn's real target may be New Hampshire’s Lebanese-American community, which resides in both political parties

It is time to state the obvious: New Hampshire GOP leaders have a grossly inflated sense of their role and competence

(Manchester, NH) (August 27, 2014)

Dear Granite Stater:

The last thing I want to do is defend Jeanne Shaheen. But in a lifetime in politics that spans almost fifty years, I have always put public integrity, not politics, first. I believe in the truth and I believe in truth-telling politics, not false accusations of anti-Semitism.

Scott Brown and Jennifer Horn have brought politics in this state to a new low. (Brown is using one of his “off the books,” so-called “independent,” committees to smear Jeanne Shaheen with a web video (see link # [5] below). Brown’s use of such anonymous attacks is a sham and fraud.)

1. The origins of Jeanne Shaheen’s alleged “anti-Semitism”

Jeanne Shaheen is being accused of taking “anti-Semitic” money from a PAC in Washington called “J Street.” J Street is a pro-Israel group with an independent position on the Middle East crisis. I neither endorse nor condemn J Street. I am aware of J Street but I don’t pay great attention to the group’s views. Jennifer Horn and Scott Brown are accusing J Street of being a “fringe” group when J Street merely reflects a competing view of Middle East politics.

2. The “old guard” and the “new guard” in pro-Israel politics

The “pro-Israel” movement is no different than any other aspect of our society. There is a generational gap and a generational challenge between those who unquestioningly support Israel’s policies and others who do not give unquestioning support. The Republican Party is not immune from this hydraulic pressure.

Governor Chris Christie was recently chastised by a potential supporter for saying the West Bank was “occupied.” Only in the United States would Christie’s remarks be criticized. Indeed, there are many more shades of nuanced opinion, and much more “freedom of the press,” in Israel than in the United States when it comes to debating the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

In my opinion all sides of the contentious Middle East dispute are entitled to make bona fide arguments (even denying the West Bank is “occupied” if that’s what they believe) without being branded as anti-Semites.

J Street” in an independent-thinking pro-Israel group that sometimes says provocative things about the conflict between Israel and Palestine. But by no stretch of the imagination are J Street supporters “anti-Semites” as backers of competing organizations allege. Scott Brown and Jennifer Horn have tried to portray Jeanne Shaheen as a de facto anti-Semite because her campaign has accepted contributions from J Street and J Street donors.

Brown’s and Horn’s behavior is pure gutter politics.

3. Is Horn’s attack is really one on Lebanese-Americans

Is Brown’s attack on Shaheen really an anti-Semitic accusation or is there a back story? Perhaps Brown and Shaheen are trying to draw attention to Shaheen’s Lebanese-American name. I assume Bill Shaheen, Jeanne’s husband, has a Lebanese-American background. Horn and Brown may be trying to stir up hostility to Bill Shaheen as part of their attack on J Street. Who knows what lurks in the deranged minds of Jennifer Horn and Scott Brown? You tell me what you think.

4. Horn lodged the same lies against me

A third of a century ago (yes, century) I was involved in a nasty litigation with a cocaine-crazed judge (yes judges did go crazy with cocaine in the 80’s, along with a lot of other people). Horrendous attacks were lodged by all sides in the series of lawsuits. Ultimately two judges (Cabranes and Neumann) were very likely denied appointments to the U. S. Supreme Court because of their misconduct involving me. Out of millions of words in the lawsuits, most of them vitriolic, especially on the part of “Cocaine Cabranes,” my political opponents have sought to take a few sentences out of context to suggest I am anti-Semitic. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I grew up in a philo-Semitic home, with a spiritual parent that was a refugee from Nazi Germany. I was being schooled in the Holocaust when most kids my age were studying baseball standings. Nevertheless, we all know that in lawsuits (where husbands and wives routinely accuse each other of “extreme cruelty” before counting out the cash) Horn has tried to pretend I am an anti-Semite to undermine me politically. Horn’s tactics have backfired. Instead of letting voters make up their own minds, Horn has tried to harass me and ended up making a sworn enemy who is dedicated to her removal from party office.

Now Horn is using false accusations of anti-Semitism against Jeanne Shaheen. I hope you will agree with me that Brown’s and Horn’s behavior is an embarrassment to the Republican Party.

5. I demand that Shaheen and Brown apologize

Brown and Horn should apologize for their misconduct, withdraw their dirty ads, and stop demonizing the Democrats. Telling the truth and proffering the facts about Shaheen are more than enough to defeat her without dragging the state GOP into the gutter.

6. What’s wrong with this picture?

So far as I am aware Jennifer Horn has no meaningful professional distinctions or accomplishments. We have a problem in New Hampshire. Because of our national prominence in the presidential primary process a lot of our Republican “leaders,” who are actually third raters, suddenly believe they are first rate politicians who can spout off as though they really know something.

The New Hampshire Republican Party has been in decline for decades. I do not expect that process to stop in 2014. Brown may slip into the senate if he wins the primary, but he has yet to pass the primary bar. It behooves people of limited accomplishments and intellect such as Horn and her posse to act cautiously when they are participating in politics at a level far beyond their competence.

Brown's loose mouth is also legendary.

Horn’s loose mind is also painfully evident to anyone with minimum political experience at the national level.

You disagree with me? Well, tell me what you think about undermining the GOP brand by lodging false accusations of anti-Semitism against the Democrats.

Please take a look at the links below. I have documented my views with references to all of the relevant issues. As always, and unlike Horn’s and Brown’s attacks, my accusations are evidence-based, not political hot air.

Loyally,

Andy

U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin News Conference: Jennifer Horn should resign as New Hampshire Republican chairman

New Hampshire U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin will hold a Keene, NH news conference Thursday, August 21st to demand the ouster of New Hampshire GOP Chairman Jennifer Horn because of Horn’s chronic IRS problems and because she is willfully and contumaciously violating the by-laws of the New Hampshire Republican Party. Andy is going to start notifying Republican presidential candidates that they should be aware and beware of Horn’s IRS problems and the fact that she is effectively under the thumb of Obama’s IRS commissioner. “Someone who won’t pay her taxes, and refuses to take a paying job to pay her taxes, should not be running a state Republican Party,” Andy says. “Obama’s IRS effectively ‘controls’ Horn; they can shut her down or prosecute her any time. That’s why Horn defends Obama and attacks Obama’s detractors. Horn is a disgrace to the Republican Party. Horn likes to attack welfare ‘loafers;’ well, she is an IRS freeloader, living off taxpaying Granite State citizens. The IRS is not Horn’s personal piggy bank.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

ANNOUNCEMENT OF KEENE, NH NEWS CONFERENCE

ATTENTION NATIONAL, POLITICAL, NEW HAMPSHIRE DAYBOOK & ASSIGNMENT EDITORS

Republican U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin demands that Jennifer Horn resign as Chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party

Andy says the IRS effectively “controls” Horn as long as the federal government has a lien on Horn’s property.

“Horn should make full disclosure of any and all of her agreements, files, and correspondence with the IRS,” Andy says. “New Hampshire Republicans undermine public respect for the party when they allow a tax cheat to serve as their leader”

Andy says Horn is effectively a “white collar criminal”

Andy says “I am not usually one for conspiracy theories, but Horn has been defending Obama for years. I wonder why?”

Andy is starting to alert presidential candidates to be aware of and beware of Horn’s IRS lien problems. “A picture of Horn with a candidate could prove very embarrassing,” Andy says

Andy charges that Horn is also making a mockery of the GOP’s by-laws, by openly supporting Scott Brown, who is known in Washington as “Barack Obama’s favorite Republican senator”

(Manchester, NH) (July 28, 2014)

Dear Republican:

A “fiduciary” is a person who holds a position of trust. Republican Party officials are fiduciaries. They are supposed to administer the party and enforce/obey the by-laws faithfully and impartially.

Thursday afternoon I will be in Keene to hold a news conference demanding that Jennifer Horn resign as head of the New Hampshire Republican Party. There are two independent reasons why Horn is unfit to lead our party.

First, for the past six (6!) years Horn and her husband have apparently failed to pay their IRS taxes. Now Horn may try to make excuses for her failure to pay taxes. But the reality is I know why she didn't pay them. Horn diverted IRS funds into her own political campaigns. Diversion of federal taxes to personal use makes Horn a white collar criminal.

Horn refuses to get a paying job to pay her taxes. Instead she works for “free” as unpaid chairman of the party. Or is she diverting money, again?

I am not much for conspiracy theories but here is a conspiracy theory for you to chew on. Horn owes the IRS money. As we know from the IRS “tea party” scandals, the IRS has become very political under Obama. The IRS can civilly or criminally prosecute you or enforce a lien. You’ve probably seen the ads on TV by people who advertise they can help you deal with the awesome power of the IRS. So the reality is that Horn is at the mercy of Obama’s IRS as long as she owes the IRS back taxes.

Does Horn have a “deal” with the IRS to make payments? We don’t know. All we know is that the federal government still claims unpaid taxes from Horn. Taxes she diverted to personal purposes.

Do we really want to have a tax cheat at the head of our party? Is this the best New Hampshire Republicans can do?

The second reason why Horn must be removed is that Horn does not think the party’s by-laws apply to her. Her abuses of her position as chairman have damaged and will continue to damage the party. She has refused to act with the total impartiality required by the by-law of the NHGOP. Both Jim Rubens and Bob Smith have complained in their own ways about Horn’s lack of impartiality in the primary.

I am going to be alerting presidential candidates to Horn’s tax problems. Candidates should be aware and beware that a photo of tax refusenik Horn could embarrass any candidate.

Are you ready for the frosting on the “conspiracy cake?” Not only does Horn attack critics of Obama, such as myself. She is trying to nominate Barack Obama’s “favorite Republican senator” as our candidate from New Hampshire. Why is she so intent on nominating Brown, someone who voted for Obama over 60% of time? Why is Horn so insistent on defending Obama and attacking people who tell the truth about Obama? Could the lien on her house be a factor? You be the judge.

I have saved a little nugget from the past. Horn went on a local radio show and attacked me for being the author of a highly respected book on Obama. She owed the IRS taxes at the time. Listen to Horn. The radio clip is attached.

Maybe my “conspiracy theory” about Horn’s support for Obama isn’t a theory at all. Maybe it’s just the plain truth.

The truth about Horn very uncomfortable. But facts are stubborn things. If Horn disagrees with my facts, I invite her to make a full public disclosure of her relationship with the IRS. If Horn remains silent, under the common law’s “adverse inference rule” silence can be taken as an admission of guilt.

Let’s see how Horn responds to my request for her resignation. With facts? Or with silence?

Loyally,

Andy

New Hampshire politics: U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin says Scott Brown may be “the creepiest candidate”

Republican U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin has spent a lifetime investigating, observing researching and analyzing. His “Psychological Profile of Barack Obama,” published February 10, 2007, predicted years in advance why Obama would not be able to function if he reached the Oval Office. Now Andy is working on a psychological profile of Scott Brown. Andy shares a few of his thoughts and explains why he feels Brown may be the “creepiest candidate.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Andy Martin suggests Scott Brown’s early childhood deprivation still drives his public persona

Andy says Brown’s behavior during the primary has been self-defeating

Andy promises his long-awaited psychological profile of Scott Brown for next week (week of September 25th)

(Manchester, NH) (August 20, 2014)

Dear Granite Stater:

Let me start with a little-known insight into political campaigns. In normal campaigns (not the U. s. Senate primary in New Hampshire in 2014) the candidates get to know each other at regular appearances and debates. Gradually a sense of camaraderie develops among the candidates. They often strike hard blows, but not foul ones. It is because of this healing process, which is going on even as the campaign unfolds, that candidates often appear at “unity” events after the primary. “Party unity” is based on the principle that parties run fair and honest elections and because of that fairness and honesty the losing candidates support the winner. That will not happen in September in New Hampshire.

The New Hampshire Republican Party has run a dirty campaign supporting Scott Brown and will pay a heavy price for that dirtiness on September 10th. That is why Scott Brown is also likely to lose on Election Day.

Virtually all of my life I have been engaged in investigation, intelligence and analysis. If you look at the list of countries I have lived in or visited (www.AndyMartin.com) I have done a lot of investigating, observing and analyzing. As a law student I was fascinated by the links between law and psychology.

In 2007 I began to assemble a “Psychological Profile on Barack Obama.” The Profile forms the first chapter in my book, “Obama; the Man Behind the Mask.” (Yes, I probably coined the “Mask” term.) I have a link below to the original blog posting.

Today, over seven years later, the entire nation, even Democrats, are perplexed as to why Barack Obama cannot function in the Oval office. I laid it all out on February 10, 2007.

And so it was probably inevitable that as I observed Scott Brown’s bizarre campaign behavior that I would want to do a psychological profile of him. It is hopefully going to be ready next week.

The more I studied Brown, the creepier I felt. I finally got to see Brown in action. Brown has avoided as many joint appearances as he can before local Republican groups. After I spoke at a Rockingham County Republican Committee event on July 27th I went to the back of the room to sign copies of my book and catch a bite to eat. And then, almost as phantom, Scott Brown slipped into the room and started repeating his talking points. He finished, and left.

I have read Brown’s 2012 (ghost-written) “biography.” He goes into minute detail about his miserable childhood. I was surprised when he and his sister made a TV commercial about his unhappy childhood in the spring. And then I saw him start delivering his Epping remarks. With his miserable childhood as the opener.

I think I have it right: Brown had seventeen “homes” before he was eighteen. Eight marriages between his mother and father. It was painful to hear. At the start of his speech.

Candidates do not usually lead off with painful memories of their childhoods. But for Brown the unhappiness and emotional deprivation of his early years are still very much with him. To the point of creepiness.

I started reading Brown’s book from his 2012 campaign in Massachusetts while on a short trip with a friend. I said, “This book is so depressing I can only stand a few pages at a time.” Why would someone “write” (ghost write) a “campaign biography” that is so depressing?

Brown’s unhappy childhood explains why he was Barack Obama’s “favorite” Republican senator, and hopes to be again in 2015. Brown’s unhappy childhood explains his occasionally bizarre offhanded remarks. It explains his desire to “make deals” in Washington.

Every one of us can tell of unfortunate experiences. Sadness and loss are a part of human life. But few of us bear our childhood pain on our shoulders, as part of our daily personae.

I have not met Bob Smith, and I am certain he won't like me after Thursday night. It’s hard to know what runs through Smith’s mind, though I have an idea.

I have met Jim Rubens on several occasions. I like Jim. He seems to be a decent person. (He may not like me either, after Thursday night.) I don’t know anything of Jim’s family history but I don’t get the sense that unhappiness is part of Rubens’ daily routine.

But with Brown, you can always feel the pain, the uncertainty, the unhappiness close to the surface.

And that may be why he has not connected emotionally with people either in Massachusetts or New Hampshire. He is a good-looking man and like most lawyers he is a bit of a chatterer. But underneath it all there is the unhappiness.

Brown has raised millions for his campaign. The rest of us are working with scraps (Rubens promises “millions,” but they have yet to appear; sorry Jim). If Brown had been a gracious candidate, an open candidate, if he gone out of his way to be a friend to his opponents, some of us might have voted for him if he wins the primary. But he has been hiding from the people of New Hampshire just as he has been hiding from his opponents.  In a psychological sense he is also hiding from himself. In plain view.

Brown will not be at Franklin Pierce University on Thursday night. Another joint appearance declined. Fear drives the man.

Brown might have won the primary in a way that could have sent him on to victory. But if he “wins” the primary, and that is still an open question in my mind, he will “win” on September 9th in a way that guarantees his defeat in November. Once again, his inner demons will have defeated him. And I find that just plain, old-fashioned creepy.

Stay tuned.

If you disagree with me I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Loyally,

Andy

New Hampshire politics: U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin says Scott Brown’s supporters are beginning to panic

Republican U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin was attacked Tuesday by supporters of “faux” Senate candidate Scott Brown. Jeff Chidester, a close associate of Brown and Jennifer Horn, launched a smear campaign against Andy Martin. Andy says, “I promised you I would scare these clowns and they have already panicked. They can’t stand to be exposed as phonies and crooks. The Franklin Pierce debate Thursday night is becoming what I promised, the “can’t miss” event of the campaign and a night of exciting television. My opponents will be screaming, but the truth hurts. (One of Jeff Chidester’s “crazies” even attacked me for supporting Market Basket workers. Chidester obviously has a lowlife following.)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Scott Brown supporters panic as Republican U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin promises to “tell the truth” at Franklin Pierce University

Andy says Jennifer Horn, Scott Brown and their stooge Jeff Chidester are panicked as the Franklin Pierce debate on Thursday approaches

Andy promised Sunday he will “deliver the truth” on Thursday; Brown and Horn are already in full panic mode

(Manchester, NH) (August 19, 2014)

Dear Granite Stater:

On Sunday, August 17th I promised you the only real debate of the U. S. Senate campaign would be held at Franklin Pierce University (FPU) on August 21st. I ridiculed the “faux” debates sponsored by some media and Republican organizations. I said the FPU debate would “sizzle.” Well, the “sizzle” arrived even earlier than I expected. My promise to deliver exciting television has triggered a panicked response even before we get to FPU.

Scott Brown and his claque of corrupt Republicans has panicked and launched a smear attach on me. “Slippery Scott” is running scared. I wonder why?

Jeff Chidester, a lapdog for Scott Brown and Jennifer Horn, attacked me on Facebook Tuesday, calling me names and insulting the sponsor of the only real U. S. Senate primary debate for inviting me. Brown, Horn and Chidester are terrified I am going to tell the truth on Thursday night.

Here is what Chidester had to say about me:

Andy Martin is political pariah. Arrogance and bloviating make for a poor candidate – Andy Martin’s recent e-mail tirades are a clear indication there is NO PLACE in any Republican debate for him (hell for that matter, any public debate). He will be on the stage on August 21 only to embarrass the Republican Party, and those who applaud him are idiots. Martin will bring nothing of value to the debate on the 21st, but will proclaim victory anyway, like the narcissi he is. Republicans need to stop this farce and turn their backs on Martin once and for all. For those in the press that try to lump Martin in with Republicans, yet cast aside people like Lyndon LaRouche and Vermin Supreme when they claim to be Democrats, you only serve to help make the election process the circus you complain it has become, and then go on to callously report on our nationally dysfunction, ignoring your own culpability of course.

I have provided a link below to Chidester’s nonsense on Facebook so you can read what some of Chidester’s “crazies” have to say. Check it out. These people need to get a life.

The fact that Chidester brags he writes for the Portsmouth Herald should suggest to you what kind of paper it is.

I have been fighting political corruption and exposing political fraud all of my life (www.AndyMartin.com). Six years ago I was based in Chicago. I wrote the first exposes on Barack Obama. I am not some wannabe “journalist” like Chidester (who is a failed police officer).

I have a background at the national level.

Take a look at the link below where I exposed military fraud Mark Kirk on ABC News Chicago (my expose comes at the end of the segment). I did more to protect and respect veterans than all of my opponents combined. I exposed the fraud among us. The Washington Post verified all of my allegations about Kirk. Veterans hate someone such as Mark Kirk who engages in stolen valor. Brown is another Kirk. Brown lied about his congressional junket in Afghanistan and called it “military service.”

I am apparently good enough to appear on ABC News, but I am not good enough for Exeter Republicans and Rockingham County? By refusing to invite a candidate with national stature these people show what losers they are (Chidester is the “moderator”). Another loser is Spectrum Marketing. They publish a calendar of events but refused to list my name and Bob Smith’s for the Franklin Pierce debate. How childish is that? Such small, petty people are the reason the Republican Party in New Hampshire has been losing elections.

Brown and Horn are running scared. Because I am armed with the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I have exposed political corruption since I was a law student. I have exposed political crooks and fraud all of my life. So, obviously, Brown, Horn and Chidester don’t like me. But what does that say about them?

I promised you a hot debate Thursday night and by the way Brown, Horn and Chidester are reacting they are panicking. I have already delivered on what I promised just two days ago. The Franklin Pierce debate has become the “can’t miss” debate of the 2014 election. I am going to drag the Republican Party of New Hampshire, kicking and screaming, into the sunlight and expose how a bunch of petty party hacks have demeaned and disgraced and destroyed the GOP in the Granite State. The truth hurts.

But my whole life I have dealt only with and in the truth. Which is why liars like Brown, Horn and Chidester are in panic mode. I urge you to watch Thursday night, or you are sure to miss something exciting and informative. New Hampshire has not had an FPU-class debate for years. And the Republican Party has suffered for the absence.

Loyally,

Andy

New Hampshire politics: U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin says the Franklin Pierce University U. S. Senate debate will sizzle

Republican U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin provides special insight into the “great television” coming to Franklin Pierce University when the first and only genuine debate between Republican U. S. Senate candidates takes place on August 21st. Andy has forty-six years of radio and TV experience and will be offering advance insights all week into the strengths and weaknesses of his primary opponents. While continuing to campaign full-time, Andy is also working overtime to protect Market Basket employees from the predatory corporate raiders and “private equity pirates” who are supporting Scott Brown. The Market Basket “greed derby” of Arthur S. Demoulas will feature prominently in Andy’s presentation on statewide television sponsored by NHPTV and in a live online webcast.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Republican U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin says New Hampshire’s only genuine U. S. Senate TV debate will sizzle at Franklin Piece University

Andy says Jennifer Horn and Scott Brown have devastated the Republican Party by trying to “dumb down” the U. S. Senate primary process

Andy plans to expose Bob Smith, Jim Rubens and Scott Brown - “It’s going to be the most exciting television in recent New Hampshire political history”

(Manchester, NH) (August 17, 2014)

Dear Granite Stater:

On Thursday, August 21st Franklin Pierce University (FPU), New Hampshire Public Television and the Monadnock Leger will sponsor the only genuine debate of the U. S. Senate primary. I invite you to attend. If you can’t come in person (seats are limited) you can watch online (a news release from FPU with a link to the online webcast information is below).

In this initial commentary of several biting columns to come (see a list of topics and days below), I would like to explain why the GOP primary process has been a total failure and hurt Republican prospects in November.

1. Why is this the “only debate?”

Some of my opponents have appeared at various forums and debates to which I was not also invited. They were boring events, mostly “Patty Cake” sessions with no genuine debate or sharp disagreements among the candidates. Well, I disagree sharply with my opponents. The purposes of primaries is to expose both the strengths and weaknesses of party candidates (more of this discussion in a separate section below on the “Eleventh Commandment”). In my opinion, when a debate is rigged in advance to exclude strong candidates, the sponsors of the debate are trying to “fix” the outcome and favor one candidate.

The Exeter and Rockingham Republicans have not invited me to their “debate” on August 23rd. But the event is going to be so boring that I am not even complaining about the slight. When the strongest debater is deliberately excluded what you have is a sham and a farce, not a genuine debate. Go for it Exeter and Rockingham.

I thank Franklin Pierce University and NHPTV for inviting all of the candidates on the ballot to appear at FPU. Not all of them have agreed to appear, however; some are in hiding. Guess who?

2. My history of creating exciting television moments

I am the youngest person ever authorized by the Federal Communications Commission to own and operate a television station license. I have been involved in radio and TV for forty-six years. I was a participant in the early days of “talk television” and an early guest on the Fox News Channel when it began. We are hoping to post an anthology of these classic video clips on my website.

I have been producing TV commercials and programs for 46 years so I know a lot of what people expect when they turn on the TV set. They do not expect to be bored by brain-dead candidates repeating stale talking points. They want an exciting exchange between the candidates. They want serious and substantive issues discussed with the repartee of candidates who know how to disagree on TV.

During the 2008 presidential campaign I became the focal point of opposition to candidate Obama after the McCain campaign all but collapsed. My appearance on Sean Hannity enraged Obamabots and eventually cost Obama millions of votes (please see the link below). The left put me on the front page of the New York Times and my supporters increased exponentially. The Times gambit backfired. In 2010 I exposed then-Congressman Mark Kirk as a military fraud. The Washington Post later verified all of my allegations and Kirk was forced to apologize and return his phony medals.

So I know television and I know how to make viewing a debate an interesting and informative and exciting experience for the viewer. I promise that you will see great television on NHPTV and online from FPU next Thursday.

3. In the days before the FPU/NHPTV debate I will be “turning up the heat”

Starting Monday I will be profiling the weaknesses of my opponents. The bogus New Hampshire media have tried to avoid any confrontation between the candidates. That is the quiet way the liberal media have destroyed the Republican Party in New Hampshire. Without adversarial primaries, voters have no idea of the strengths and weaknesses of primary candidates. Losers keep being nominated and the GOP is now a minority party.

Read my daily commentaries exposing Rubens, Smith and Brown for the unsuitable “candidates” they really are. None of the three is qualified to go head-to-head with Jeanne Shaheen in the fall campaign. Shaheen is a pro. These guys are amateurs.

4. Why Ronald Reagan’s “Eleventh Commandment” hurts Republicans

Thirty-five years ago The Gipper concocted the “Eleventh Commandment,” to limit criticism of him by other Republicans. Probably nothing has done more damage to the GOP than the Eleventh Commandment.

First, the media environment has changed since 1979. Viewers today are used to the sharp exchanges on cable TV. When candidates get up and start reciting talking points, viewers turn off.

But most critically, by suppressing discussion of a candidate’s weaknesses, primary voters are left without any idea of what can happen once the primary is over. Like tin soldiers being shot down by the Democrats, Republican candidates are nominated in primaries only to fall in general elections. The weaknesses of candidates are never discussed.

Primary debates become “pretend” sessions in which like Lake Wobegone, all candidates are “above average” and no candidates have any negatives or flaws to discuss. Then the Democrats pull out their sharp knives and Republicans watch in horror as their primary winners are butchered on Election Day in November.

So where’s the benefit to the Eleventh Commandment? Knowing The Gipper, he probably concocted the Eleventh Commandment as a lighthearted aside. But people took him seriously. The result: a continuing disaster for the GOP.

When sponsoring groups ask me to observe the Eleventh Commandment, I do. Sponsors of events can place their own limitations of the functions they produce.

But the Eleventh Commandment has a further corrosive impact: stripped of adversarial debates within the Republican Party, candidates are unfamiliar with how to “debate” in an open forum before the media. The result, Republicans as a party are lousy debaters.

There will be no Eleventh Commandment observed at FPU on August 21st. Viewers will get the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about the unholy three imposters who, with liberal media connivance, have been masquerading across New Hampshire as serious candidates for the U. S. Senate.

6. America is under attack at home and abroad

Americans are challenged by a president who is working overtime to implement his socialist schemes to redistribute wealth before he is removed from office. I predicted all this in 2008 (take a look at the Hannity video) but John McCain and his team of losers was not able to fight back. Let me assure you I am a fighter. I will fight for ordinary citizens on August 21st; I will continue to fight for Market Basket workers to see their jobs are not threatened by Scott Brown’s “private equity pirates;” I will fight to win on September 9th, although I am being undermined by the leadership of the NHGOP; and if I am nominated I will fight to retire Barack Obama’s favorite Democrat, 99% Jeanne Shaheen. (Obama’s favorite Republican, by the way, is Scott Brown. Come to think of it, why would any Republican vote for Obama’s “favorite Republican?” Beats me. Wake Up New Hampshire.)

Reserve a seat at FPU or watch on TV or the Internet. You will be glad you did. The debate will be exciting television.

Loyally,

Andy
