New Hampshire U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin will hold a
telephone news conference Tuesday, May 20th at 11:00
A.M. to announce he has filed a Superior Court lawsuit seeking to
block a fraudulent Merrimack Business Association “forum” for U. S. Senate
candidates from which he has been excluded. “For the past ten (10) months
Jennifer Horn has been sabotaging my senate campaign,” Andy says. “Horn has been
violating the New Hampshire Republican Party’s long history of open primaries
and explicit prohibitions on party leaders taking sides in primary contests.
But then Jennifer Horn does not think the IRS
tax laws apply to her either. I have tried to look the other way, in the hopes
that Horn would grow up and end the harassment. But Horn is one of the most immature
and incompetent political leaders I have ever encountered. Horn is using her
friends as dupes to campaign against me. She now has David McCray and Tom Young
in court.
I have a national reputation as a leader of opposition to Barack
Obama. I am a respected author, researcher and Republican activist. Other than
Scot Brown I am the only primary candidate with national experience. Does Horn
really think she can corrupt the primary process in New Hampshire
and get away with it? New Hampshire
voters want a primary campaign for the U. S. Senate. They do not want a
‘coronation.’ Horn’s misbehavior is ultimately going to lead to her own
downfall,” Andy says.

Republican U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin files
a lawsuit to expose dirty tricks by the Merrimack Business Association
Andy accuses the GOP’s Jennifer Horn of
masterminding the harassment of Andy’s senate campaign using “dupes” such as
David McCray and Tom Young
Andy says by attacking his campaign Jennifer Horn
is setting up her own removal from the state GOP leadership
(Manchester , NH )
(May 20, 2014 )
Dear Republican:
This year I celebrate fifty (50) years of political activism.
In a half century of public action I have always been respected as
incorruptible, loyal and scrupulously accurate in all of my campaign activity. I
am justifiably proud of my half century of public integrity and I do not intend
to allow Jennifer Horn to besmirch me or my record.
Since last August Horn has been trying to manipulate local
Republican committees, and her own state committee, into pretending I don’t
exist and ignoring my senate candidacy.
You can hear me on the radio attacking Scott Brown in every
part of New Hampshire . But in
Jennifer Horn's warped mind I don't exist; she is trying to erase my candidacy.
Horn’s behavior violates not only the explicit rules of the
New Hampshire Republican Party but also decades of past tradition and practice.
In New Hampshire , all candidates
are heard; the Republican Party s open to all. Voters can make up their own
minds whom to support; they do not need Jennifer Horn to do that for them.
Horn does not publicly appear to attack me. She knows the
rules. Rather, Horn tries to undermine me behind the scenes. She uses dupes
such as local Republican committees and other “fronts” for her dirty tricks.
But dirty tricks behind the scene are just as unlawful under GOP rules as
public attacks.
Last week I filed suit to expose a dirty tricks operation by
the Merrimack Business Association. Why would they not want to hear me debate? TV
stations in the nation’s third largest media market always included me in
televised debates. So I'm good enough to debate on TV in Chicago
but not good enough for the Merrimack Business Association? Pathetic, isn't it?
(Some of those old debates are on the Internet. If you are a junkie for
watching old Andy debates just let me know and I'll send you links.)
I became a national political figure because of my activism
in opposing Barack Obama and working tirelessly to elect Republican Party
candidates. The New York Times put me on page 1 as a leading national story
(they didn’t like what I was doing to Obama).
Ask my opponents in the current primary what they did to
support Mitt Romney in 2012. Not much.
I am especially proud of having exposed two of the biggest
frauds in recent military history. In 2010 Mark Kirk was humiliated when my
research finally reached the Washington Post. Kirk had awarded himself
imaginary medals, participated in imaginary battles and claimed to have served
in military campaigns where he did not. Sound familiar?
Like Mark Kirk, Scott Brown has shamelessly embellished and
exaggerated and inflated his military credentials. He told Massachusetts
voters he “served” in Afghanistan .
That was a lie. Now Brown is trying out the same old lies on New
Hampshire voters. I won’t let “Slippery Scott” get away
with lying about his military exaggerations. Not during the primary. Not ever.
Do other Republican leaders support Horn’s efforts to muzzle
my campaign? We don’t know yet. But they are letting Horn get away with her
dirty tricks. Horn and her minions are doing everything then can to deny I
exist. Unfortunately, we are going to start suing committees that conduct
secret senate candidate forums. Let the bad committees tell a judge why they
violated party rules. We’ll smoke out the truth.
A copy of my Merrimack Business lawsuit, abridged and
formatted for the Internet, is attached to emailed versions of this news
release. (We don’t yet have a docket number but hope to receive one in the
mail. The clerk takes a few of days to process a case but it is on file.)
If any state has a history of open politics and open primaries
it is New Hampshire . Horn is trying
to corrupt that tradition by “erasing” my campaign from the Republican Party.
What Horn is doing is obviously intended to protect Scott
Brown. The other three “candidates” are sincere people but they lack any
national experience, or recent national activity. Two of the candidates have
been “mothballed” for from 12 to
eighteen years.
Well, if Horn wants a fight, she has a fight on her hands. I
wish she would start acting like an adult but that may be asking too much of
Mrs. Horn.
Respectfully,
Andy
